It was a fine read. Not as exciting as the first book, but, I mean, you cannot expect the same excitement for a sequel.

I was THE OO programmer. OO seemed to be THE best programming pradigm to work with. I was always struggling with some aspects of OO but they seemed to be related to the problems themselves, not on how to tackle them. This book provided a great insight why you might consider the data-oriented programming paradigm for tackling programming problems.
I also like his writing style based on a story plot to introduce the paradigm and it's principles.

Definitely a good read. I was always struggling with how to organise my notes and I am not using his exact proposed system but it provided some great ideas to try out. It was very helpful. I am looking forward to his next book on PARA.

Ein paar interessante Ideen, leider fand' ich den Plot zu verwirrend. Er springt aus meiner Sicht zu viel hin und her.

All in all it's not surprising. "If you fear something, that fear takes an amount of your capacity." That happens on a personal and on an organisational level. So it's good to reduce the amount of fear as best as you can.

Abandoned the book after about 50%. Much too wordy for my taste.

Das Buch beschreibt eigentlich, dass wir die Klimakatastrophe nicht in den Griff bekommen können ohne unser "Betriebssystem" (den Kapitalismus) auszutauschen. Ich habe hier absichtlich nicht den Begriff update oder upgrade benutzt weil ein Kapitalismus 2.0 immer noch auf Wachstum basieren würde, was bei begrenzten Ressourcen nicht funktioniert.

Insgesamt ein gut geschriebenes Buch, was mir allerdings nicht umbedingt Mut gemacht hat, um optimistisch in die Zukunft zu schauen.

5 stars, really. Come on. You already know a lot of stuff from this book, so why 5 stars?
First, it's good to be reminded of some thing again and again because we tend to forget things, even important things.
And I mean, a productivity coach, who already mediates and takes care of himself and who still suffers from anxiety and burnout and then tells you to focus on being calm instead of being productive? Sounds more like a novel than a non-fiction book, doesn't it? :-)

I picked the book up because I was pretty productive but I wasn't very happy. I wasn't very stressed, at least not in the common sense of working too many hours and so on but I wasn't calm either. I was overthinking a lot.
The book helped me, combined with other changes, to focus on what's important for me.

Ein sehr spannendes Buch, das ich teilweise für mehrere Stunden nicht aus der Hand legen konnte.
Vielleicht auch weil es Mitten in Deutschland spielt. Glaubwürdige Charaktere.
Das Ende war für mich etwas vorhersehbar und sehr kurz. Daher nur vier statt fünf Sterne.

Mhh, ich bin ein großer Fan des Bedingungslosen Grundeinkommens und hatte hier eine Utopie oder eine Dystopie erwartet.
So richtig war es keins von beidem. Ein paar Aspekte bzgl. des BGS hat der Autor gut rausgearbeitet, anderes schien mir doch sehr weit hergeholt.
Oft habe ich das Gefühl, das ein Buch zu lang ist aber hier hätte am Ende noch etwas gefehlt. Das war doch sehr abrupt.

Starke Leseempfehlung.

Eine gute Mischung aus Geschichten und Wissensvermittlung oder Analyse der Geschichten.

Ein paar Überraschungen waren auch dabei.

Das Buch ist super.
Es ist, nicht sehr überraschend, lustig und unterhaltsam. Es ist aber auch eine Art Bildungslektüre und jetzt kommt's, für alle Personen.

In weiser Voraussicht habe ich mir gleich das Hörbuch angehört. Das wird nämlich von Carolin selber in ihrer unnachahmlichen Art selbst gelesen. :-)

Wahrscheinlich ein guter Einblick in ein "normales" Leben während der Corona Zeit. Es wird klar, dass es unterschiedliche Perspektiven gab und gibt.

Ein unterhaltsames, spannendes Buch, dass mich wieder neue Dinge gelehrt hat.
