Ein Silberband der mal wieder spannend war, auch wenn das Duell Rhodan I gegen Rhodan II am Schluss in die Wiederholung ging. Man könnte fast den Eindruck bekommen, dass sich die Expose-Redaktion beim Thema PAD-Seuche etwas verrannt hat und man daher ein Zeitparadoxon erschaffen musste um das Ding wieder los zu werden.
I got attracted to this book when listining to a podcast where the author told the story of the black and white rabbits. Hoping for more of those insightful stories, but there were little.
On the pro side the book has some good ideas on what is wrong wiht our society and that we need to become more human again to solve it. Practically the author is telling stories from his own life, interesting to read, but nothing really special.
On the contra side this book is too much filled with religious references, at least for me who is somewhere between between atheist and agnostic. I respect that the author has his belief, but it does not mean that I enjoy reading parts of the bible in a book. Eveen worse, as a coincidence the Nashville shool shooting happened when I was reading the book and on the news I …

Eveen worse, as a coincidence the Nashville shool shooting happened when I was reading the book and on the news I saw a lot of comments all with "thoughts an prayers", which are obviously are much more powerful than laws on gun control . And then reading that the author asks a pastor after a tough week if his family is cursed made me really wonder how insane you can becoume with too much religion. Besides that, the book refers a lot to the american culture and also to social networks, especially Instagram, so people that are not part of those communities might not understand the references.
A very interesting book to read. Its more or less the long version of the proverb "The magic happens outside your comfort zone". The author introduces good concepts to deal with the discomfort and how to face it #NoMatterWhat. Every chapter has a summary with the key takeaways at the end too. Highly recommended reading.

Wieder ein spannendes Weltraumabenteuer, der erfolgreiche Abschluss des Schwarm-Zyklus. Allerdings erschien mir das Ende etwas überstürzt, so als würde man einen Schulaufsatz schreiben, die Zeit läuft ab und man schreibt eben schnell noch ein Ende hin, ohne viel Auschmückungen. Aber vielleicht war das auch damals nötig, denn der Schwarm-Zyklus hat doch einiges an Länge.
Spannende Lektüre wie immer.
War wieder sehr spannend. Auch wenn der Schwarm-Zyklus sich mittlerweile schon arg in die Länge zieht. Aber trotzdem gute Unterhaltung.

Der Silberband zieht eine zweite Front auf, neben der Bedrohung durch den Schwarm wird nun auch auf die Cynos eingegangen, die sich auch zum Problem für die Milchstraße entwicklen können. Zudem werden neue Charaktere eingeführt, der Tibeter Dalaimoc Rorvic und sein Partner Tatcher a Hainu.
Interesting stuff, but a bit too long.
Wie immer ein sehr spannendes Weltraumabenteuer. Diesmal in der fernen Galaxis Gruelfin.
