@Paranoid-Fish@bookwyrm.de Joseph's accent is difficult to understand at the best of times and aggressively impenetrable at the worst. I've found it's easier to parse if you read through his dialogue quickly.

@amberherbert@bookwyrm.social I cheated a little: I read the original, but I also had a German translation as an e-book and looked up some of Joseph's difficult sentences there. Funny enough, the translator had imitated the accent by using a German dialect. But I understood that a little better 😊
