Joshua Fields Millburn: Minimalism (2016)

"Minimalism is the thing that gets us past the things so we can make room …

Review of 'Minimalism' on 'Goodreads'

Good to hear, although it's hard to write some notes while hearing and driving a car. I might buy the paper or kindle version to make some notes.

Good, if you want to get some ideas on what might be important in life, in your life.

This is not a step by step recipe to accomplish what is important in your life. I would have been surprised if they know me and wrote the recipe for me, personally.
So, be open to adapt, ask yourself some questions and act upon the answers.

Review of 'Code complete' on 'Goodreads'

A lot of interesting stuff in it but also a lot of stuff that is simply not as important as it was in the past. It's not a cover to cover book to me but I will have a look at it again once I need to dig deep into a specific topic.

I listened to the audio version. It was depressing, especially the first part(s) of the book, in which Joshua talks about his childhood and youth.
My mood changed a bit, later in the book, but a slight depressing mood was always there.
If you don't know why minimalism could be interesting this could be a book for you.

I will definitely read / listen to the other minimalism books.

Adrian Flanagan: Over the top (2008, Weidenfeld & Nicolson, Orion Publishing Group, Limited)

Review of 'Over the top' on 'Goodreads'

Really interesting how Adrian described that he had to do (and finish) this journey.
His different feelings showed up every now and that made it clear to me that this (sailing alone around the world) is really an extreme experience.

3096 Tage (Hardcover, German language, 2010, List)

Review of '3096 Tage' on 'Goodreads'

Review of 'Summary and Analysis of Elon Musk : Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future' on 'Goodreads'

A bit confusing in terms of the author is jumping from time to time to different topics. A few chapters start with introducing another person but I didn't saw that necessity to understand the book or the character of Elon. All in all it's good to hear, the speaker has a nice voice and it seems to be a good overview over what Elon did and why.

Karl May: Gesammelte Werke, Bd.74, Der verlorene Sohn (Hardcover, Karl-May-Verlag)

Review of 'Gesammelte Werke, Bd.74, Der verlorene Sohn' on 'Goodreads'

The typical late Karl May story. You can clearly spot the good and the bad guys. The good guys are very unlucky at the start and the bad guys have several possibilities to become good guys but of cause, they don't. It's a nice story with different storylines.
