Hodgesaargh hat The Basics of Molecular Biology von Alexander Vologodskii besprochen
Complex things made understandable
3 Sterne
This introduction to molecular biology is a surprisingly readable foray into the lesser believable parts of our bodies. Probably not quite up to a biology curriculum, it offers enjoyable education to those who would like to brush up and update the understanding they had gathered at school. The book feels like having things explained to you by a seasoned professor, enjoying to brake down the most difficult concepts to an everyday audience. Personally, I am baffled by scientific progress since my university studies during the turn of the century. The later chapters about the immune systems and its functions are a bit less detailed than the first ones covering basic cell functions. All in all, it is a good read and highly recommended to a non-specialist audience.
