Grandiose SF

Das Buch fängt eher lahm an, Protagonistin ist Jasmine ("Jazz") Bashara, eine kleinkriminielle Schmugglerin in der Mondstadt Artemis. Ein Unternehmer heuert sie für einen Spezialauftrag an, der sie reich machen soll. Doch damit steigt er einem Gangstersyndikat auf den Schlips und wird prompt ermordet. Jazz muss um ihr Leben fürchten. Und dann wird das Buch so spannend, dass man es gar nicht mehr aus der Hand legen möchte. Erstklassige SF die quasi einen Krimi auf dem Mond spielen lässt und dabei aber immer die Naturgesetze beachtet und die speziellen Auswirkungen die z.B. die geringere Schwerkraft auf dem Mond hat.

Spannende Story

An der Story gibt's nichts auszusetzen, sie ist packend und wird im Laufe des Buchs gut entwickelt.

Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen: Die Charakterzeichnung von Jazz nervt manchmal ein bisschen, v.a. die ständige Betonung sexueller Freizügigkeit ergab für mich keinen Sinn.

Am Ende ist das aber nebensächlich.
