Quite an entertaining book. I found it based on a review from a connection here on Goodreads. The story is fast-paced, the characters are fun and the stakes are high. I find it difficult to discover sci-fi books that I enjoy, because too often they are hard sci-fi or too weird for my taste. Books like this one are exactly what I want in sci-fi.

I know that it's the first of a series, but based on that same person's review I will not continue the series.
