Although the general critics do not always consider it a success, I really enjoyed reading this exciting novel and look forward to reading more from this author. His characters are finely modeled, contradictory with rough edges, and mostly avoid clichés and stereotypes. Even if some things remain unclear at the end, it is always a pleasure to read, especially because the novel also makes you want to explore this interestingly portrayed city yourself.
