Amber Herbert hat The Jehovah Project von Catlyn Ladd besprochen
Crime Fiction Meets Eco-Centric Science Fiction
4,0 stars
The Jehovah Project, initially a crime novel, evolves into something far more compelling at the midpoint and only gets crazier and more engrossing from there. What starts as an undercover operation soon becomes a story made up of complex characters, moral quandaries, and a world-altering shift the protagonist (and you) doesn't see coming. Everything you thought you knew will be questioned. It's slow to start, to create a strong foundation and sense of place, but the journey is well worth the wait.
I was impressed with Ladd's ability to weave intricate and real characters while balancing high-concept ideas, philosophical musings, and emotional resonance. I recommend this novel to fans of cult-like organizations, ecofiction, and science fiction that demands deliberation.
Thank you to the author and Winding Road Stories for the advance copy.
