Ren returns home - and Arman is not allowed to break heads

Ren and Arman return for another adventure, this time set in Ren's homeland of Shiirei.

In addition to cultural differences and some homophobia, they have to face uncooperative officials and a slew of thefts. All of that pales, however, when Arman becomes friends with one of the runner boys and really adores the kid.

I love how - once again - there is action, adventure and (this time) adoption as the focus of the story and not any romantic misunderstandings (I hate those!). With Ren once again doing all the talking and Arman rarely breaking his grumpy silence, it's great fun to read, especially with a kid to mellow both of them.

It's a great feel-good book with characters I already love, so definitely recommend. 5 of 5 stars.
