Society in support of personal and ecological self-discovery, fulfillment, and flourishing, picking up the pieces post-counterculture. Grounds this in autonomy, embrace of difference and variation, and an opposition to capital/state trajectories towards bigger, totalizing, disintegrative roles. Anti-institutional, full of caring anecdotes on roles and identity, and despite some grating conservative/centrist chapters on family & school radicalism the throughline is optimistically open-ended.
