Hannah Steenbock hat Deadly Lover von Jocelynn Drake besprochen (Exit Strategy, #1)
Adorable assassin, grumpy ex-spy, great rivals to lovers arc
5 Sterne
I love this book. It's one of my comfort reads that I re-read regularly, just like the entire series and its spin-offs.
You see, Justin is so adorably snarky, and it's great fun to see grumpy Gabriel slowly come out of his shell, despite the considerable trauma in his past (which will be explored further in the series).
Their job goes wrong in many, many ways, but that only makes them more determined to finish it. I love that for Justin it's not just about the money, and that Gabriel finds that intriguing and attractive.
It's also not a terribly dark story (less so than Unbreakable Bonds), mostly because Justin cracks so many jokes and does his best to wring a smile out of Gabriel.
Definitely recommend this series if you like adventure, romance, good assassins and a grumpy ex-spy.
