Ein neuer Blick auf Achilleus in einer neuen Perspektive. Der griechische Held wird menschlicher beschrieben als von Homer. Sein geliebter Patroklos dient als Erzähler der Geschichte.

Im Gegensatz zu "Ich bin Circe" der gleichen Autorin bin ich aber mit dem Buch nicht richtig warm geworden. Ich weiß aber nicht warum. Sprachlich ist es gut geschrieben. Allerdings hätte ich das Buch mit dem Tod Patroklos abgeschlossen und ihn nicht noch als Geist weiter berichten lassen.

Forbered deg på å gråte mot slutten. Miller setter ord på så mange kjærlighets- og forelskelsesfølelser jeg ikke hadde lagt merke til selv. Fordi alle vet hva som skjer med Akilles til slutt, satt jeg gjennom hele boken og håpet på mer tid, akkurat som Patrokles gjorde. Men jeg angret aldri på å bla om, hver side var en fryd.

Such a beautifully written and captivatingly intimate work. I was so entranced and obsessed, I finished it in two days!

If you're a fan of historical tragic romance -and even if you aren't- this is THE book to read
