Really a great, funny book. Two Washington PR buffs set a rumor in motion that makes China look bad, just so the anti-China resentment might help push weapons orders through congress. But what follows is that everyone falls for the rumor and the two countries get pushed close to war.
Thing is, the political situation of this book is maybe a bit behind, or let's say, the world played out a bit differently since 2013, when the book was written. Yet, on one hand one knows what and can still see the greatness of the idea behind the plot, while at the same time it makes me long for that world in the book which was a bit less idiotic than today, even if in the book there's enough idiocy to laugh out very loud.
I really enjoyed this book and I was LOLing alot when I was reading it. …

I really enjoyed this book and I was LOLing alot when I was reading it. People looked at me when I read on public transport. One usually isn't all smiles on public transport, I learned.
