Hannah Steenbock hat Steal the Wind von Jocelynn Drake besprochen (Godstone Saga, #1)
Badass Fighters, a Young Prince Finding his Strength, and a Petulant God

I will be honest. It took me two tries to get into the series because I was a bit confused by fantasy set in a world that is as modern as ours - and then having the heroes wield swords and guns at the same time.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
The story starts out with a terrible tragedy, and from then on, Prince Caelan is dragged into a quest that is much, much bigger than anyone suspects in the beginning. I do like how relationships develop in the series along with the plot, even here in the first book, with small stolen moments between fights, running and hiding. Of course, book 1 ends with a massive showdown - and a big cliffhanger. (That's the one thing with this series, it never really stops, perfect for binging.)
Definitely recommend if you like badass fighters, a young prince finding his power, strong friendships, an epic quest, plenty of magic, and petulant gods.
