This novella is a fun glimpse into Bast's world. He's clever, bold, mischievous, and kind in a way that's entirely his own. This story touches on fae magic within Rothfuss's world but doesn't lean too heavily on its rules. It's perfect for fans of the series as well as anyone with a soft spot for well-executed fantasy pieces with lots of heart and whimsy.
