Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)

Shatter Me is a young adult fiction dystopian romantic thriller written by Tahereh Mafi, published on November 15, 2011. The book is narrated by Juliette, a 17 year-old girl with a lethal touch. The book deviates from the typical writing approach, instead being printed with multiple scribbled out lines and words, reading as more a diary than a novel. Shatter Me is the first of a series of seven books. Mafi has stated that she drew inspiration from "an interest in human nature and [humanity's] ability to overcome great obstacles" when it came to writing the book.
